Correct Product Selection and Market Strategy in Plastic Raw Materials

Plastic raw materials are the basic building blocks of many sectors, from packaging to automotive, from construction to white goods. However, the type of plastic suitable for each sector, each production line and each product type is different. Therefore, the right raw material selection directly affects both production costs and product performance.

Generally, two main groups are mentioned: original plastic raw materials and recycled plastics. Original raw materials are preferred in technical products or sensitive production lines because they provide high purity and homogeneity. Recycled granules are preferred because they are environmentally friendly and offer lower costs; however, quality standardization in these products should be managed more carefully.

Another important issue for exporting companies is to offer products according to the expectations of the target market. While some countries give more importance to environmental sustainability, others prioritize quality documents and technical specifications. This means that “you cannot appeal to all markets with a single type of product”.

The right market strategy for plastic raw materials should be shaped according to the product type, production process and target country regulations. The right product + the right market + the right pricing policy = is the main formula for sustainable export success.
